Westminster’s seven choirs offer vocal music opportunities for all ages.
CHOIRS FOR ADULTS
Westminster Chorale – conducted by Randal Buikema. Rehearses Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:00 p.m., September through May, and participates in worship most Sundays. Chorale members have the option to sing at the 8:45 a.m. service, the 11:00 a.m. service, or both.
Westminster Oratorio Choir – conducted by Randal Buikema. Performs major choral works with orchestra, and rehearses Thursday evenings, 8:00-9:00 p.m., as needed.
Summer Choir – conducted by Randal Buikema. This drop-in choir is ideal for those who love to sing but can’t commit to regular rehearsals during the regular program year. Summer Choir begins Sunday, June 1... join us in the Music Room at 8:15 a.m. for rehearsal and then sing at the 8:45 a.m. service.
CHOIRS FOR YOUTH AND CHILDREN
The Group/Senior High Choir – for grades 6 through 12, directed by Beth Ann Edwards. Rehearses during Westminster Wednesday and participates in worship monthly.
Youth Club Choir – for grades 3, 4 & 5, directed by Pat Newman. Rehearses during Westminster Wednesday. The emphasis is on vocal development and worship leadership. This choir sings in worship several times each semester, including Christmas Eve and Palm Sunday, and produces the children's musical each spring.
Kids of the Kingdom Choir – for grades 1 & 2, directed by Pat Newman. Rehearses during Westminster Wednesday. A beginning choir experience which emphasizes the role of music in worship and skill development through joyful songs. This choir sings in worship several times each year and participates in the spring musical.
Cherub Music Time – for children ages four and five, directed by Pat Newman. Meets during Westminster Wednesday. Provides a joyful music experience whick explores basic concepts and skills, and lays the foundation for participation in our children's choirs.
