"Souper Bowl" Concert 

Featuring Ruth Harris, Organist

The Westminster Fine Arts Series will present a “Souper Bowl” concert featuring organist Ruth Harris on Sunday, February 5, at 3:00 p.m.  Ms. Harris will perform organ masterworks by Bach, Buxtehude, Franck, and more, on Westminster’s magnificent Dobson Tracker Organ.  The concert is free and open to the public, and childcare is provided.

Ms. Harris serves as organist at Westminster Church, and teaches organ at Drake University.  She holds two degrees in church organ music from Northwestern University, and has studied organ in Paris and Vienna.

Though the event is free of charge, all are invited to bring a canned-good, non-perishable food item, or cash gift for a “Souper Bowl of Caring” offering.  All proceeds will go to help feed the hungry in our city.

A reception will follow the performance, which will be brief enough that everyone will be home in time for the “big game!”
