Program Information
FOUR-YEAR-OLD PROGRAM
Westminster Preschool partners with the Des Moines Public Schools to offer the state-funded preschool program at our site. We currently have two program options:
M-TU-W-TH from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
M-TU-W-TH from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Our program uses a research-based curriculum that aligns with Iowa’s Early Learning Standards and is intended to prepare children to be successful learners in kindergarten. Children must be 4 years old by September 15 of the current school year. There is no tuition if your child is enrolled by October 1.
THREE-YEAR-OLD PROGRAM
We currently offer two program options for three-year-olds:
M-TU-W from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. – monthly tuition is $125
TH-F from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. – monthly tuition is $90
There is also a non-refundable deposit of $50.
Our program for three-year-olds follows current best practices in early childhood education and uses the research-based Creative Curriculum. The daily schedule provides a balance of teacher-directed small- and large-group activities, center activities, music and movement and gross motor activities. These offerings help develop your child’s physical, social, language and cognitive skills as well as love and curiosity for learning.
MORNING OUT PROGRAM
Our Morning Out Program is currently offered for children ages 1 and 2. This program provides an opportunity for children to play with other children in a warm, nurturing environment and helps ease the transition to preschool.
