SISTER  COMMUNITIES – San  Francisco, El Salvador, and Szeged, Hungary

Westminster has formed partnerships with sister communities in El Salvador and Hungary.  These relationships provide the opportunity for life-changing annual mission trips to both countries, as well as long-term mission projects focusing on sustainable development, such as providing solar power, potable water, education, and building renovations. In the sumer of 2009, Westminster constructed a new church building in San Francisco, El Salvador.  Click here for more information.

KIDS AGAINST HUNGER PROGRAM

Westminster Church serves as a satellite location for “Kids Against Hunger,” a program that packages nutritionally balanced dried meals for the world’s hungry.  Throughout the year, Westminster groups – families, individuals, and all of our youth groups from our preschoolers to senior highs – participate in packaging events.  The dry ingredients are carefully measured, weighed, sealed and boxed for shipment to starving people around the world.

AND MORE...

Our outreach to the world also includes peacemaking efforts, disaster relief and assistance, global awareness, and more.

"We must not, in trying to think
about how we can make a difference,
ignore the small daily differences we can make,
which, over time, add up to big differences we cannot foresee."

Marian Wright Edelman
