Worship this Sunday
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible School for 2013 will be held June 17-21 & 23, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, for children age three through grade 6 (2013-14 school year). This year's theme is Kingdom Rock! -- where children will experience epic Bible adventures, play fun games, sing awesome songs, and more! Early-bird registration (through May 26) is $15/child or $40 max./family. To register, click here.
Summer Worship Schedule
Our summer worship schedule (one service at 10:00 a.m.) has begun and will continue through Labor Day weekend.
Help with God's Garden on May 23
The Garden has been tilled and planting has begun, with the goal of providing fresh produce to the Food Pantry. The next opportunity to help plant the garden will be Thursday, May 23, beginning at 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting) If you can help, just come to the garden at 44th & Hickman...bring garden tools if you have them. Everyone welcome!
Summer Choir to begin May 26
Do you like to sing? If so, Summer Choir may be just the thing for you! The choir will begin participating in worship on Sunday, May 26. Rehearsals will be at 9:15 a.m. in the Music Room, prior to the worship service. All singers grade 2 through adult are welcome!
Westminster Book Club to Read Leap of Faith by Queen Noor
The Westminster Book Club will meet on Wednesday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m. in Simmerman Lounge, to discuss Leap of Faith-Memoirs of an Unexpected Life, by Queen Noor. All are welcome to attend.
Starting to plan your children's summer activities?
Be sure to block off June 17-21 for Vacation Bible School (and June 23 for VBS Celebration Sunday). Vacation Bible School is open to children ages 3 through grade 6. Also, CACTUS Fine Arts Camp will be held July 22-26 (and Sunday, July 28) for children entering grade 3 through grade 8.
Westminster Preschool Enrolling for Fall
Openings remain for fall 2013 Westminster Preschool Classes. Westminster Preschool offers free Universal Preschool for four-year-olds, tuition-based classes for 2 & 3 year olds, and a Developmental Play Group for children 18-24 months. For registration information, click here.
