Our worship this Sunday, September 5, will be shaped around the Scripture passages of Psalm 139:1-18, which looks at the inescapable presence of God, and Luke 14:25-33, which considers the cost of discipleship in a challenging world. The intriguing sermon title is “No Where to Run; Places to Go.”
-
The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be shared this Sunday in worship, and the Summer Choir will provide special music.
-
KidPOWER Children’s Worship (for children and youth age four and up) will not meet this Sunday, but will return on September 12 in the Chapel.
-
The Quarterly offering to help people in need in our community and our congregations will be received this Sunday. Please give generously.
-
Enjoy coffee and refreshments in The Commons before and after worship.
-
Bring your donations of much-needed supplies for our sister community in El Salvador. Donations of Band-aids, hand towels, bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, anti-bacterial cream, antacids, generic children's fever-reducer and acetaminophen will be accepted in The Commons this Sunday and next Sunday.
